Last nights multi-terrain run saw an amazing 95 juniors compete in the final race of the 2016 Junior Club Championship season.  As I posted last night on facebook, many thanks to all the adults who helped out – we can’t run these training night races without your support.
As for the juniors, they amazed with some unbelievable quick performances and determination to reach the end on a challenging course.

With all that in mind, it brought a conclusion to the 2016 championship – but even then, some of our juniors could not be separated and will share some of the top 3 positions.  Congratulations to those who secured one of those spots and for those who didn’t then continue to work hard and enjoy your running.  Remember for the younger juniors, a final finishing position is only awarded to those who completed the qualifying 6 races across the 2 categories (3 Fell + 3 Track/XC/Road).  Please check carefully and let me know if you have any queries – we will be using this for the presentation night awards.

The clubs presentation evening is to be held on 21 January and details will be shared shortly.  Please note this is an evening to celebrate our winners but is open to every junior to attend and would be good to see as many as you there.  As usual there will be some special awards from the coaches.

All juniors need to start thinking about their vote for the KCAC Junior Team Player.  For those who are not aware, this is an award that the juniors vote for themselves and should be for somebody they think is a great team player – maybe somebody that supports the juniors at races, encourages at training, etc.  Detail will be circulated shortly.
