Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, Pateley Bridge Cricket Club are holding their 2nd Junior Triathlon Challenge on Sunday 23rd April, 4pm at Nidderdale Pool and Leisure Centre in Pateley Bridge and would welcome entries from juniors with or without experience in competing in any or all of these events.

This event is open to anyone between the ages of 7 and 15 in three age categories (see attached entry form for more details).  The Triathlon Challenge will be different to the traditional triathlon format.  Each of the three disciplines, Swimming, Cycling and Running, will be performed for a set time, the aim being to do as many metres as possible over that time with a short break in between each discipline to ensure every child is ready to start the next stage on time without the perils and associated panic of eg. wet feet not fitting into dry shoes etc!

The timings are:-

Swim for 4 minutes
Cycle for 10 minutes
Run for 5 minutes

The winners in each age group will be judged on their collective achievements over the 19 minutes.

Entry Fee £15.  Entry forms to be returned with fee as soon as possible as places are limited.

Last year’s event was a real family afternoon with not only the organisers but so many participants, parents, grandparents and volunteers commenting on how enjoyable it was for everyone involved and what an amazing atmosphere there was on the day.  We want to make this one even better so please sign up now using the attached entry form.
