All.. just a reminder that its the last race in the FRA series next Saturday. Details below from Mercia Fell Runners who are hosting this race and there are maps on their website.

It would be absolutely great if as many juniors as possible made the trip to Shropshire. We are just two points ahead of Ambleside and if we can put out our usual strong team then we stand a great chance of winning.

Church Stretton English Junior Championship and British Junior Intercounties Fell Races – Saturday 2nd July

Entries are now open for the final round of the FRA Junior Championships which will be held in Church Stretton from 1pm on Saturday 2nd July. All age groups from U8 to U18 will be accommodated – the minimum age will be six on the day (i.e. all competitors must be born on or before 02/07/2010). There will be separate races for every age group except the U16 and U18s. These will race simultaneously over the same course but we will be providing results and prizes for the two age groups separately.
The U16 and U18s race will also form the Intercounties competition. Anyone can enter and run in this race, but only runners who are nominated by their county coordinator / selectors will count for the Intercounties element of the race.
Please enter by sending a standard junior entry form with a cheque for £2 payable to Mercia Fell Runners to:

PLEASE, PLEASE PRE-ENTER so we can add your entries to our results / entrants software in advance. Processing entries on the day will be difficult for us – and impossible beyond 13:00 when the races will have started and the registration team has switched into their results role. They will have to process six sets of results for the Junior Champs and two sets of Intercounties results in the space of about three hours so we hope you understand why we have asked for pre-entries.
There is a limit to how many cars we can park up at the race venue so please car share. The parking field is up a rough farm track so don’t arrive in your Ferrari unless you fancy walking up from one of the car parks in the town. We are hoping to have refreshments available at the race venue, and there will be a low-key race “Three Fingers Rock” for adults using the U16/U18 course the following morning. Entry for the Sunday race will be free if you helped with the juniors races.
Further information and updates including the running order / timetable for the day will be posted on the FRA website – please check about a week before the races in case we need to tell you anything else.
We look forward to seeing you in Shropshire! Thanks everyone,

Jim Tinnion on behalf of Mercia Fell Runners
